Transmitting the wisdom of Ashtanga Yoga…

After  meeting Shri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore in 1982, Graeme dedicated the next 20 years of his life to receiving the direct teachings of traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga from Guruji, attaining certification to teach Primary to Advanced B Series.

More than 35 years of self-practice, exploration, evolution and insight have refined Graeme’s gift for transmitting the essence of Ashtanga Yoga with clarity and humour.

On a practical, physical level, it is important to understand how we achieve maximum benefits from our practice through increasing body awareness in alignment, joint stability, strength and flexibility. Another important aspect is learning to balance the active & passive, masculine & feminine energies.

On deeper levels, it takes courage to look into ourselves and allow life to work on us in order to bring about change. Ultimately, we practice to heal ourselves and by raising our own vibration and consciousness through Yoga, we also play our part in the healing of the planet.

Workshops with Graeme are suitable for every level of practitioner. Please join us from Saturday 17 until Monday 19 March for a weekend workshop and early morning mysore practice.

Saturday and Sunday

Morning Talk Thru Asana Classes (suitable for all levels). 
Enjoy warm hearted, gentle instruction and direction from Graeme, who has been treading this path for over 35 years, and be gifted with insights into your practice that will be with you forever. Learn how to intrinsically weave the breath and bandhas with the postures in such a way that lightness and ease sits seamlessly alongside strength and effort. Be guided by Graeme’s wisdom and experience in an approach to the practice that ensures it is sustainable, functional and accessible for all individuals.

2.00-4.00 pm 
Afternoon Focus Classes (suitable for all levels).
The breath and bandha connection- discover a new grace and lightness, strength and integrity in the practice by connecting to and feeling the breath and bandhas- how they integrate, accelerate, adapt, sustain and uplift us. Bringing not only improved stamina, spinal stability and mobility, but energetic lift, and accessing the deep healing potential that the practice offers us. Freshen up your practice with this wonderful opportunity to deepen and lift.

Putting it into action- how the breath and bandhas create the bedrock of the asana practice- how we can apply them in order to find balance and ease in a posture, whether it be back or forward bending, arm balances, twists or hip openers.
